About Us
School Motto / Educational Philosophy
"Sow grains if you want a harvest in a year, plant trees if you want a harvest in ten years. But to harvest in a hundred years, cultivate people. To reap for eternity, sow the Gospel."
Educational Philosophy
Vision
Our vision is the "Evangelization of the Korean Peninsula." By spreading the Gospel from the northernmost point, Hoeryong, to the southernmost point, Jeju Island, we aim to establish God's kingdom governed by His sovereignty.
Educational Purpose and Goals
Our founding purpose is to "research and teach the fundamental doctrines of Christian faith based on the Bible, and to train interdenominational leaders capable of fulfilling the evangelical mission."
To achieve this, we focus on educating leaders who can complete the evangelical mission by offering five majors, making us a "university centered on undergraduate education."
Under the slogan "A university pleasing to God and admired by people," we aim to nurture "Gospel evangelists with ‘the Spirit of Milal(the grain of wheat)’," based on the Bible verse John 12:24: "Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds."
Talent and Core Competencies
To realize the goal of "nurturing Gospel evangelists with ‘the Spirit of Milal(the grain of wheat)’," we have set three educational objectives: "Biblical people abiding in the Bible," "Professionals for the Gospel," and "Civic-minded individuals promoting harmony and tolerance."
The competencies for "Biblical scholars abiding in the Word" include a Biblical worldview and transformational leadership. For "Professionals for the Gospel," competencies include integrative thinking and practical expertise. For "Civic-minded individuals promoting harmony and tolerance," competencies include community integration and sacrificial service.
The core competencies based on educational objectives and talent profiles are defined as follows:
